I’ve always had a strong morbid curiosity, and I love to watch unique movies that show something out of the ordinary. One of my favorite things in the world is when a scene in a movie makes my jaw drop. Horror has always intrigued me, but I didn’t obsess over the genre until I started listening to Horror Movie Talk in 2019. I loved the show so much that I reached out to Bryce and David and began doing projects for them occasionally. In 2023, I auditioned and was selected as one of the new co-hosts of HMT!
I am a husband and soon-to-be father. I love to make music and play video games with my friends.
My Favorite Kinds of Horror
I love horror that tackles difficult and emotional themes. If a director/writer intentionally has a deeper meaning behind the blood and gore, it brings the story to life for me. I like shocking things, but I am not the biggest fan of torture porn. I like a tight, concise movie that knows where it is heading and leads the viewer along without them even realizing it. I am also a sucker for a good found-footage movie. I grew up on 2000s/2010s horror, so while I love many older horror movies, my heart belongs to the modern age.

My Least Favorite Kinds of Horror
Exploitative movies or horror focusing more on gore than story are generally not my cup of tea. Zombie movies often feel cliche and formulaic, but they can still be enjoyable sometimes. I have a short attention span, so I struggle to enjoy movies over 2 hours unless the movie is incredible.
How I Got Into Horror
The first horror movie I ever watched was The Sixth Sense when I was 8 or 9. I was terrified. As I got a bit older, I found lots of creepy YouTube videos like Salad Fingers, Dont Hug Me I’m Scared, and Creepypastas (online horror stories), which captivated me. This quickly turned into watching every PG-13 horror movie I could get my hands on, as my parents did not allow me to watch R-rated movies. Once I went to college, I quickly caught up on all the great rated R films I had been so cruelly denied.
I also should probably give a quick shout-out to the 2000s/2010s Cartoon Network for introducing small doses of horror into shows like Adventure Time and The Regular Show, as well as horror YouTubers like Meat Canyon, Nexpo, Shrouded Hand, Wedigoon, Mr.Creepypasta and more.
